Easy Diet Friendly Black Forest Brownies

Weekend quickies!!!  It doesn’t get easier than this!  Three ingredients (4 if you count water), cute, quick, and only 4ish Weight Watcher PointsPlus!

Easy Diet Friendly Black Forest Brownies

Ingredients:

-1 Box Sugar-Free Chocolate Cake Mix (Pillsbury makes one, but a regular mix only changes the point value by 1)

-1 Can No-Sugar Added Cherry Pie Filling (Comstock makes one)

-3/4 Cup water

-Large Marshmallows for topping (optional)

Directions: Preheat oven to 375.  Mix everything together well (except the marshmallows).  Pour in a greased 9×13 pan.  Bake for 45-50 min.  I took mine out at 45 min.  I cut (tore) each marshmallow in half and placed them in rows of 4 down and 4 across ( I think.  I squeezed as many in there as I could in a neat row).  The marshmallow got a little melty on the bottom and stuck nicely to the cake.  I cut it into 16 pieces.  The cake is not a high-rising cake, so it is really more of a brownie.  The marshmallow gives it a little sweetness, the cake is moist and chocolatey-cherrie-y!  It’s a snap and not filled with guilt.

I forgot to take a picture and they were almost gone, so here’s what I was able to snap:

Figuring out the points was hard because the cake serving size is 1/12 (I made at least 16 squares).  The pie-filling point is 85g serving with total contents per can being 7 servings, and the 1/2  marshmallow is less than 1 point. I figured 4 points-ish.  It’s actually a nice little treat.  I’m going to try different combinations next, like No-Sugar apple or peach filling with Yellow mix.  Maybe a fruit piece for garnish or sprinkle of powdered sugar and cinnamon?  Skies the limit!
